Highlights and Lowlights

A few highlights of the past week or two:

1) Chris Tomlin Concert: How Great is Our God Tour
An amazing concert to attend. I was blessed by the time of worship and was reminded once again that our walk of faith is about the journey of taking each day as a gift from God and being willing to walk with Him and lean on Him, even when (or especially when) OUR will (as we see it) is not being done. Thanks, Jessi and Nick, for the ticket as my birthday gift and for accompanying me!

2) Moving my sister/brother-in-law/Logan/Cooper into their new house! It was a ton of work, but the house is a huge blessing to them: plenty of space, a big yard to run around, and best of all, a pool to splash in during the summer.

3) A half day of school today (Friday) and no school on Monday for our mid-winter break. The two days off last week due to cold weather helped with the break as well. I feel like we have been out of school more than in school lately.

4) Beautiful flowers from some amazing, God-given friends!

And now, the lowlights:

1) Being sick on Wednesday and sleeping for 20 of 24 hours.

2) All of the catch-up work that is involved with missing school. Planning for substitutes is not fun and is actually more work than just showing up sick and muddling through it.
