We had the opportunity to celebrate my dad's 65th birthday early, since we will be in Chicago for a girl's weekend commemorating mom's birthday on dad's actual birthday. It was nice to be home together, playing with the kids, smoking certain individuals in cards, and just visiting. It was an especially important birthday to my dad because his father died at 64 of heart complications and since dad has had his own share of heart issues, each additional year is a reason to celebrate. We love your wacky humor, sincere love for each of us, and all of the things you do to make sure we are "taken care of". Happy 65th Birthday!

Somehow we always miss mom in the pictures, but she was there too, slaving over our tasty meal of ribs, potatoes, corn on the cob, and banana cream cake. Thanks mom!
