Prayer
Last night I met with a dear friend, whose daughter is in the midst of an enormous struggle with an eating disorder. We prayed and cried and prayed and cried and prayed and cried some more. By the grace of God, this young girl's weight is now under control and out of "death range", but she still has miles to go. While her weight is stable, she needs to work on the root of her eating disorder. It is kind of like an iceberg. When looking at an iceberg, the part above water or the peak always seems to be the problem, but as passengers of the Titanic would tell you, the real issue is the portion of the iceberg that is under the surface of the water. And now, this young girl has to deal with her "under the surface" issues. Please pray for her that Satan may have no grasp over her mind and that she may be freed from the lies that hold her mind and heart in captivity.
