New Years

After Christmas, I spent the time completing more home projects. I scraped walls, primed, and painted. I got rid of "old people smell" in one of my closets by painting everything. I replaced a disgusting doorbell in my home. Tom came over and replaced the vent fan in my bathroom, so it finally sucks the air out and keeps my bathroom dry (thank you Tom). I was also able to sleep in, read some amazing books (Cathching Fire, The Last Song), hang out with friends and just slow down to enjoy life for a bit.

I had some friends over for New Years and we had a great time entertaining the kiddos, playing some competitive games, munching on some delicious snacks and hanging out. Jenna, Tom, and Kody had to leave early, but the rest of us rang in the New Year together!

The Recobs stayed the night and the next day we all went sledding. I have come to believe that sledding is officially one of my favorite winter activities. After an exhaustive attempt to blow up my tube with a bike pump, we were ready to hit the hills. The snow was slippery and the hazards were real (Randy flew right into the road, I hit a tree, and we all went over the sidewalks many times). Nonetheless it was a blast!
