After babysitting for four lovely, yet highly energetic little girls (since Sunday), I am grateful to have a little time to myself. Here are a few tips I have picked up for the future:
1) Putting 4 girls to be takes at least an hour (between brushing teeth, getting jammies on, reading stories, using the bathroom, etc...)
2) Children should not be involved in a zillion after school activities. It wreaks havoc on family life. Between soccer, Girl Scouts, piano, and school work, there is no time to simply be.
3) Burrs are no fun to pull out of clothing or hair. No wonder Velcro was invented from burrs.
4) Never underestimate the power of sugar to give kids unnecessary energy.
5) Joy is found by taking delight in the littlest things (a worm slithering across the driveway).
6) Kids can ask a lot of questions in a short period of time.
